It has been a while since my last post as we have moved and had a number of events we attended.
Over this time we have also won three further awards from the Master Photographers Association.
We now have 6 awards for our photography and we are going from strength to strength.
We are working hard on getting our studio ready for the ongoing chapter in Kessex Photography and will keep you posted on how things progress.
Kessex Photography will be moving at the end of April to the beautiful village of Battlesbridge. in Essex.
We are busy packing and boxing up everything ready to move into our new home, to say that there are a few cardboard boxes in an understatement.
But the move will allow us to do a number of things
STUDIO – this lovely large outbuilding will be converted into our studio which will allow us to show our clients their photos in person rather than just online gallery, we will be setting up a beautiful reveal wall that will allow clients to take their photos away with them on the viewing day.
We will be showing your some of our before and afters of this process and some videos as well.
I believe that you get the best results where there is a true expression of wonder and joy for children, so with this in mind we will be planning and creating in this space below an outdoor fairy garden.
You cannot beat the pure look of enchantment on a child’s face when they believe that they really are in a genuine fairy garden, Kessex, is all about the overall experience not just clicking a button, all clients young or old should have fun.
So from the moment they arrive these is lots to see and take in, and we hope to have a few surprises along the way to please our little visitors.
We will keep you posed on how this develops and the end result.
Kessex Photography will continue to provide all their usual services, but these changes and move will ensure that we are giving the best to our clients, so they can be assured of fun and quality from us.

Last weekend I took some time out to go and test not only my new camera Sony A99ii but some HSS off camera flash.
Yvonne and Paul joined me in their vintage wear at Vange Well No 5 in Essex, this is beautiful but somewhat derelict building in the middle of the woods, bu has such a feel and beauty about it that it was crying out for some photo shoot time.
The weather the day before had been a little wet so the steep hill to the well was a little slow going as one foot slip and it would have been mud bath for all of us.
The wind was blowing so the soft box took a bit of a battering, and this is where you realise that an extra pair of hands is a godsend, but unfortunately there was just the three of us on this occasion, so it sand bags and burying the feet of the light stand into the ground for a little more security.
The area is very popular with dog walks and we did draw a little of a crowd throughout the shoot, a lady in high heels and a RAF pilot in a derelict building yes I suppose it did look a little strange.
So after an hour of high winds and some testing here are some of the shoots that I took, enjoy our first but certainly not last vintage shoot. I love this look :O)
Today Kessex Photography was awarded a Highly Commended from the Master Photographers Association for this Portrait in the woods.
Certified Professional with The Master Photographers Association.
I have the most wonderful locations in and around Essex to be able to take these beautiful pictures.
Catching the woods in their winter form gives many shape and textures to the photos, allowing for some amazing effects that only enhance the subject.
This weekend we went out into the woods for a couples shoot for valentines.
The lovely Kirsty and Lee braved the cold brisk Sunday morning for some lovely photos in a beautiful setting.
They also brought their little ones who we just had to get some family photos with and played with the leaves.
